Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or new to winter sports, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the beauty of nature during the colder months. Here at the 91·çÁ÷ Outdoor Program, we are ready to help you plan your next family outing with suggestions for family-friendly winter activities, along with where to find the gear and tickets you need to make your adventure complete!
1. Snowshoeing at Snowbasin
Snowshoeing is one of the easiest and most accessible winter activities for families. It’s a fun way to explore the snowy landscape while getting a full-body workout. Snowbasin Resort, located just a short drive from Ogden, offers fantastic terrain for snowshoeing with several marked trails that are perfect for beginners and families. I really like Wheeler Canyon, the trail is fairly wide.

With beginner-friendly runs and smaller crowds, Powder Mountain is perfect for those who want to avoid the chaos of larger resorts.
