About

Darcie Costello joined the faculty of Weber State University in 2016. She is an associate professor and chair of the School of Accounting & Taxation in the Goddard School of Business & Economics. She previously taught at Quinnipiac University. Costello earned a PhD in accounting in 2014 from Washington State University. She earned her Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver and her bachelor's degree from Xavier University. She teaches cost accounting and various courses in the MTax program.

Costello’s primary research interests involve decision making processes of taxpayers. She is also interested in pedagogical research related to tax education, and is involved with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at Weber State.
